Serengeti Summit Expeditions
A few things to know before we start planning your journey together.
Last updated: 21 October 2026
Your written itinerary and booking confirmation set out the arrangements for your trip. Please read them alongside these terms before making a payment.
These terms apply to trips arranged by Serengeti Summit Expeditions. An enquiry or quotation does not reserve accommodation, permits or other services. Your booking is confirmed when we issue written confirmation after receiving the payment required in your quotation.
The person making the booking should be authorised to act for every traveller and share the itinerary, payment conditions and these policies with the group.
Your quotation explains the travel dates, accommodation, activities, transport and services included in the price. Please check the names, dates and arrangements carefully and tell us about any errors before confirming.
Anything not listed as included should be checked with us. Optional activities, visas, insurance, tips and personal purchases are included only where the quotation expressly says so. Quotations are subject to the availability and validity period stated in them.
Your quotation, invoice or booking confirmation states the deposit, currency, balance deadline and payment instructions. Any fees associated with your chosen payment method will be explained before you pay.
Pay by the agreed deadlines so that reserved services can be secured. If a payment is overdue, reservations may be released or cancelled under the conditions agreed for your booking.
Use the payment details provided with your booking documents. Verify any unexpected change to those details with our team through a contact channel you have used before.
Please send cancellation and amendment requests in writing as soon as possible, with your booking reference. We will check availability, supplier conditions and any effect on the price before confirming a change.
Refunds and cancellation charges follow our Cancellation Policy and the specific conditions supplied with your booking. We will explain any proposed deduction and its basis, subject to applicable law.
Each traveller is responsible for checking passport validity, visa and entry requirements, transit rules and any required health documentation with the relevant authorities before departure.
Please give us accurate traveller details when they are needed for reservations. Tell us promptly if those details change. Entry decisions are made by the relevant authorities.
Safaris, walking activities and mountain climbs have different physical demands. Discuss any relevant mobility, medical, dietary or support needs with us before booking so we can consider suitable arrangements. Share sensitive information only through a channel agreed with our team.
We strongly recommend travel insurance that covers your planned activities, medical treatment, emergency evacuation, cancellation and interruption. For mountain trips, check the altitude limit and whether search and rescue are covered. Any mandatory insurance requirement will be stated before booking.
Follow the instructions of guides, accommodation teams and park authorities. Wildlife is unpredictable, and sightings cannot be guaranteed. Weather, road conditions, altitude and access restrictions can affect activities.
Respect local communities, wildlife and protected areas. A guide may stop or alter an activity where continuing would put people, wildlife or the environment at risk. We will explain the circumstances and discuss the next practical steps.
We may need to adjust an itinerary because of weather, safety concerns, park restrictions, transport disruption or supplier availability. We will explain significant changes and discuss available alternatives, including any price difference or refund that applies.
Events outside our reasonable control are considered individually under the booking agreement and applicable law. They do not automatically remove any statutory rights you may have.
If a problem arises during your trip, tell your guide or our office promptly so we can help. If it remains unresolved, email us your booking reference and supporting details after travel.
Hotels, camps, airlines and other suppliers operate under their own conditions. We arrange the services in your confirmed itinerary with reasonable care, while individual providers remain responsible for delivering their services under the applicable agreement.
Your responsibilities and ours are governed by the booking agreement and applicable law. Nothing in these terms excludes a responsibility or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Take care of your travel documents, money, baggage and valuables throughout the trip. We recommend insurance that covers personal belongings as well as the activities in your itinerary.
We obtain permission where required before using identifiable guest photographs in marketing. Tell your guide or our team if you do not wish to appear in photographs.
We may update these terms for future bookings. The conditions provided or published when you confirm your booking continue to apply unless a change is agreed or required by law. Personal information is handled under our Privacy Policy.
